Meet Gily, lmft

A Mom Who Gets It.

I’m a Connecticut-based therapist specializing in postpartum mental health, anxiety, & burn out.

tHE THING IS:

You’ve always wanted to be a mom ...you just didn't think to feel this way.

With the heart of a mom and the training of a psychotherapist, I can support your motherhood journey.

You try really hard to be the best you can be yet still find this season of your life a challenge.

You’ve listened to parenting podcasts and read the self help books, yet you still feel the same. Sometimes books and podcasts are just not enough….you need someone to listen to you and help you navigate the hard stuff. It’s not you… parenthood is just that hard.

I support mothers and parents like yourself who feel trapped in a cycle of overthinking and overwhelm.

How I work

Compassion When You Need It. A Challenge When It Helps.

In our first appointment, we’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy, the challenges you’re facing, and what you can expect from our work together. My first priority is building trust, because I believe trust is one of the most important foundations of meaningful therapy.

I want you to feel safe bringing your most vulnerable thoughts and feelings into our sessions without fear of judgment. Maybe you’ve already tried sharing these things with family or friends, only to walk away feeling misunderstood, dismissed, or even worse than before. With me, you’ll have a space where you can be completely honest and know that you’ll be met with compassion, curiosity, and understanding.

At the same time, I’m not a therapist who simply listens and sends you on your way. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel supported and challenged. Together, we’ll work on tangible skills, explore new perspectives, and identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I’m direct without being abrasive and nurturing without being passive. When you need compassion, I’ll meet you there. When you need a little push, I’ll give you that, too—and when appropriate, I’ll bring a little humor along the way.

My goal is to empower you with the tools and confidence to navigate life beyond the therapy room. Whether you’re struggling with low mood, irritability, anxiety, shame, guilt, or finding motherhood to be very different from what you expected, you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

And I want you to know this: seeking support is not a reflection of how well you’re doing as a parent. It’s a reflection of how much you care about yourself, your family, and the kind of mother you want to be.

If you feel like we might be a good fit, I’d love to connect. Reach out today to schedule your first appointment.

Therapy with me is…

01Honest & real

You’ll get honesty, compassion, and thoughtful feedback—not just a therapist who nods along. I’ll gently challenge you when I think it could help you move forward, always with the intention of helping you feel more empowered.

02warm & playful

Therapy can be meaningful without always feeling heavy. When the moment is right, I believe in bringing humor, lightness, and a little playfulness into the room. Sometimes laughter is exactly what we need to create a little breathing room.

03supportive & active

I won’t just sit back and listen. We’ll work together to understand what’s keeping you stuck, build tangible skills, and create meaningful change. You’ll have a therapist who is in your corner and willing to challenge you when you’re ready for it.

04personalized to you

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I’ll tailor our work to your personality, your needs, your goals, and what actually works for you. Your therapy should feel as individual as you are.
